I oriented this forked branch on the lathe looking to find and show off the feather burl that I knew was inside. The problem was to keep the ends intact as I turned it.
This is a piece of that invasive Bradford Pear that has been declared vegetable public enemy number one. Every time there is a big wind or snow storm, this species of tree brings Christmas to a woodturner.
